The average pass rate in this year's Secondary School
Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations is 93.58 percent. The pass rate
in SSC examination is 94.08 percent, in Madrasa 93.33 percent and in technical
examination it is 88.49 percent.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results in a video
conference from Ganobhaban on Thursday (December 30). The main event was at the
Bangabandhu International Conference Center.
Earlier, the chairpersons of all the education boards handed
over the results of SSC and equivalent examinations to Education Minister Dr.
Dipu Moni on behalf of the Prime Minister.
This year, the average pass rate in SSC and equivalent examinations
is 93.58 percent which was 82.87 percent last time. As a result, the pass rate
has increased by 10.71 percent.
This year, 22 lakhs 78 thousand 98 students from 29 thousand
35 institutions under 11 education boards of the country participated in the
examination. Of these, 11 lakhs 55 thousand 96 students and 11 lakhs 23
thousand two are female students. 20 lakhs 96 thousand 546 of them have passed
the examination.
This time the pass rate in the Dhaka board is 90.15 percent.
Of these, 49,500 candidates got GPA-5. 94.80 percent of candidates have passed
in Dinajpur Board. Among them 17 thousand 578 got GPA-5.
The pass rate in Mymensingh Board of Education is 97.52
percent and 10,092 students got GPA-5. The pass rate in Jessore board is 93.09
percent, 16 thousand 461 candidates got GPA-5. Besides, the pass rate in
Barisal board is 90.19 percent, 10 thousand 219 candidates got GPA-5.
In Rajshahi 94.71 percent, in Comilla 96.27 percent, in
Chittagong 91.12 percent, and in Sylhet Board 96.76 percent of students have
passed.
On the other hand, the pass rate in Madrasa Board is 93.22
percent and 14,113 students got GPA-5. Besides, the pass rate in technical is
88.49 percent and 5,187 candidates got GPA-5 there.
Candidates will be able to know the results through the
website and SMS of the Board of Education. Besides, the inter-education board
has requested everyone to go to the institution and see the results in
compliance with the health rules.
The SSC examination started on November 14 after a delay of 9 months due to the closure of educational institutions due to the epidemic coronavirus. Group-wise examinations were held on three elective subjects with a short syllabus and ended on November 23.
