15 thousand primary schools have received 300 crore Tk for repairs

15,000 government primary schools will get Tk 300 crore for minor repairs and renovations. Each school will get 2 lakh Tk.

Today, Thursday (January 6), the Department of Primary Education has informed that the money of this allocation should not be spent in any other sector and all the details of the money allocated for minor repairs should be sent to the Director of Planning and Development Branch of the Department of Primary Education. This will be done by the field level officials.

Instructions in this regard have been given to the Divisional Deputy Director, District Primary Education Officer and Upazila Education Officers. They will oversee the whole thing.

This money has been allocated under the Primary Education Development Program.

HM Abul Bashar, deputy director of the Primary Education Development Program, said that the money allocated could not be spent on other activities under any circumstances. Excess money of the allotted amount cannot be withdrawn. Vouchers must be kept at all costs of repairs for audit activities.
