The National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has
made four recommendations to control the spread of the epidemic coronavirus.
The recommendations were made in a press release signed by committee chairman
Prof Mohammad Sahidullah on Friday (January 7th).
Four recommendations have been adopted at the 50th meeting
of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19, the statement said.
The recommendations are-
1. Infection with Covid-19 is on the rise in neighboring
countries, including India. Infection is also on the rise in our country. The
government has already announced various programs to control the infection. The
National Technical Advisory Committee has emphasized the implementation of the
program. If necessary, the committee recommends legal action such as mobile
courts to ensure the implementation of the program.
All steps must be taken to ensure 100% proper wearing of
masks, keeping hands clean, and ensuring social distance. Hand washing should be
arranged again in different places.
In order to ensure social distance, all social (wedding
ceremonies, fairs, etc.), religious (waz mahfil) and political gatherings
should be stopped at this time. Meetings/workshops need to be arranged
online. The Advisory Committee emphasizes the importance of ensuring hygiene in
educational institutions and regular monitoring of infections in their
respective educational institutions.
2. Everyone, including students, needs to be brought under
vaccination.
3. Screening, quarantine and isolation are strongly
recommended at all points of entry.
4. The committee recommends that hospital preparations,
especially adequate general and ICU beds, and adequate oxygen supply be
provided to deal with the spread of infection.
