Educational institutions are not closing now: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Malek has said that corona infections are on the rise in many parts of the world. The situation in Bangladesh is still under control. Schools and colleges are open. There is no plan to close the educational institution at present. However, in order to control the infection, it has been decided to carry half the passengers in the passenger bus-train-launch. Instructions in this regard will come soon.

He said this while distributing winter clothes among the destitute people of different areas of Manikganj Sadar and Saturia Upazilas at Manikganj Shuvro Center on Saturday (January 8).

The health minister said the government has taken several steps to control the coronavirus. All district and Upazila level hospitals and nurses are ready to provide services across the country. All shops must be closed by 8 pm. Cannot enter any restaurant without a vaccination certificate. It has been decided to carry half the passengers in all passenger transport including bus-train-launch.

Warning that if anyone goes outside without a mask, he/she would be fined by a mobile court Zahid Malek said that, the wheel of the economy is still turning as corona infection is under control in the country. Production activities are normal in the mills. Students can go to school-college. In order to maintain this condition, everyone has to follow the rules of hygiene.

Manikganj Additional Superintendent of Police Hafizur Rahman, District Administration Executive Magistrate Jubayer Hossain, Manikganj Sadar Upazila Awami League General Secretary Afsar Uddin Sarkar, Saturia Upazila Awami League General Secretary Afaz Uddin, and many others were present on the occasion.
