Higher Certificate (HSC) and equivalent results may be
released in the first week of February. It is learned that the examination
controllers of all the education boards of the country are sitting in a meeting
for this purpose on Tuesday (January 11).
HSC and equivalent examinations were held in six papers on
three departmental elective subjects as students did not take physical classes
due to corona infection. HSC and equivalent examinations started on 2nd December.
On that day, the education minister said that the results would be released
within a month after the end of the examination.
Professor Nehal Ahmed, chairman of the Inter-Education Board
Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher
Secondary Education, said work is being done to get the results published
within 30 days. The results are expected to be released in the first week of
February. However, HSC candidates have exams in three subjects but their papers
are only six. So it may take some more time.
It may be mentioned that in 2021 academic year, more than 13
lakh 99 thousand students took part in HSC and equivalent examinations in 11
education boards. This time there were only 11 lakh 38 thousand 17 HSC
candidates in 9 general education boards of the country. And under the Madrasa
Board there were one lakh 13 thousand 144 Alim candidates. Besides, 1 lakh 48
thousand 529 students have appeared for HSC BM and Vocational examinations of
