Anti-drug operation in the capital, 60 arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 60 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. They were detained during raids in different police stations in the capital from 6 am on Monday (January 10) to 6 am on Tuesday.

Hafiz Al Assad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, confirmed the matter.

Hafiz al-Assad said 5,744 pieces of yaba, 259 grams of heroin and 1 kg 865 grams of cannabis were seized from them.

In the name of the detainees, 49 cases have been filed in different police stations of DMP under the Narcotics Control Act.
