Government employees should be sincere towards the people: State Minister for Public Administration

Calling on government employees to be sincere towards the people, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said, "People have high expectations of government offices and employees." They come to the government office with various problems. Government employees have to be sincere in solving those problems of the people. They have to understand the problems of the common people and provide proper services.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the 'Development Administration Training Course' organized by the National Academy of Planning and Development on Thursday (January 13th).

The state minister said the main responsibility of government employees is to serve the country and the people. Therefore, government employees have to devote themselves to the service of the people.

He further said that the role of government employees is very important in developing the image of the government. Therefore, it is necessary to work keeping in view that the image of the government should not be tarnished by the behavior of the government employees.

Director General of the National Academy of Planning and Development Md. Badrul Arefin presided over the function, while Public Administration Secretary KM Ali Azam and Director of the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand Varavat Chonlasin spoke as special guests.

50 officers of 37 batch of administration cadre will participate in this training course for 4 months. The training was jointly organized by the National Academy of Planning and Development of Bangladesh and the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
