Medical admission test starts on 1st April

It has been decided to conduct admission test for MBBS course of 2021-22 academic year of government and private medical colleges of the country on 1st April.

The decision was taken at a meeting on Monday on the medical admission test. The Department of Health Education will issue a notification in this regard soon.

Chaired by the secretary of Department of Health Education and Family Welfare Md. Saiful Islam Badal, Prof. AHM Enayet Hossain, Director General, Department of Health Education, Prof. Dr. Abu Yusuf Fakir, Additional Director General (Education), Department of Health Education, Prof. Dr. AKM Ahsan Habib, Director (Medical Education), Department of Health Education also attended the meeting.

In spite of the Corona epidemic, medical admission tests for the 2020-21 academic year were held simultaneously on April 2 last year at 55 venues in 19 centers across the country. Although 1 lakh 22 thousand 874 people applied, more than 1 lakh 16 thousand students participated in the examination. 48 thousand 975 people passed the examination. Which is 39.86 percent of the total candidates. 4,350 students were selected for admission in 37 government medical colleges on the basis of national merit.
