Lily Nichols the new High Commissioner of Canada has arrived in Dhaka

Lily Nichols has joined as the new High Commissioner of Canada in Dhaka. The new Canadian High Commissioner announced the information on Twitter on Wednesday (January 19th).

Lily Nichols said on Twitter that she was happy to join the Canada Mission in Dhaka. She also wrote that after coming to Bangladesh, she was welcomed with delicious sweets.

Prior to her arrival in Dhaka, she was the Director (Development Research and Education) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada. She had previously served as Canada's High Commissioner to Panama.

Benoit Prefontaine was appointed Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka. Lily Nichols replaces him. Benoit is expected to join the Canadian Mission in Bangalore, India as Consul General.
