150 million people under vaccine in the country

Corona infection is constantly increasing in the country. So far, the government has instructed to strictly adhere to the hygiene rules even though it has not thought of a lockdown. Immunization activities have been intensified. Millions of people are being vaccinated every day due to adequate vaccination.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 14 crore 98 lakh 71 thousand 251 doses of vaccine have been given in the country. The vaccine is given from January 26, 2021 to January 19, 2022.

Of these, 9 crore 13 lakh 22 thousand 538 people have been vaccinated with the first dose. And 5 crore 76 lakh 75 thousand 272 people have taken the second dose of vaccine. Besides, 76,741 people took booster dose.

According to the relevant sources, a total of 13 lakh 18 thousand 775 people have been vaccinated on January 19. Among them 9 lakh 30 thousand 700 people took the first dose of vaccine. And 3 lakh 11 thousand 34 people took the second dose of vaccine.

During this time, 4 lakh 67 thousand 411 men and 4 lakh 63 thousand 289 women received the first dose of vaccine. On the other hand, there are 1 lakh 68 thousand 263 males and 1 lakh 42 thousand 771 females among the vaccinators of the second dose.

So far, 8 crore 41 lakh 61 thousand 234 people have registered for vaccination in the country. Among them, 8 crore 17 lakh 93 thousand 319 people registered through national identity card, 1 crore 28 lakh 150 people through passport and 10 lakh 94 thousand 765 people through birth certificates. The rest of the vaccines are given without registration.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the immunization program at Kurmitola Hospital in the capital on January 27 last year. After that, vaccination activities started all over the country. AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Moderna vaccines are currently being given in the country.
