SUST students to sit in discussion with the Education Minister again

No solution was reached in the midnight virtual discussion with the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni on Saturday to resolve the ongoing stalemate in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SHUST). Therefore, the students will sit in discussion with the Minister of Education again on Sunday (January 23) at 1 pm.

After the virtual meeting on Saturday night, the agitating students of SUST told the media that they have informed the minister about everything that has happened since the beginning of our movement. She promised to solve our problems. However, we will sit again this afternoon to demand the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor. Until then, our fast will continue.

During the night discussion, the education minister requested the students to break their fast. She also requested the students to step down from their demand for resignation of the Vice-Chancellor. But the students decided among themselves that they would not shy away from demanding the resignation of the vice-chancellor. At the same time, they will not break the fast until they accept this demand.
