Police Week: Home Minister inspecting the parade

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated a virtual 'Police Week-2022' through annual police parade at Rajarbagh Police Lines ground under the theme 'Skilled Police, Prosperous Country, Bangabandhu's Bangladesh'. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal visited eye-catching Parade on Sunday (January 23) morning at the behest of the Prime Minister.

The five-day (January 23-27) Police Week event will be held in strict compliance with hygiene rules, the police headquarters said earlier. Some of the main roads of the capital have been decorated with colorful decorations around Police Week.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saleh Uddin led the annual police parade. Under his leadership, members of various contingents took part in the parade.

On the occasion of Police Week, medals will be given to a total of 230 police personnel including 115 in 2020 and 115 in 2021. Medals include Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM), Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) -Service, Presidential Police Medal (PPM), Presidential Police Medal (PPM) -Service.
