2 dead in Chapainawabganj road crash

Two people were killed and four others injured when a truck hit a human hauler on Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway at Haripur in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Hanif, 30, son of Abu Bakkar and Joydeb Shah, 32, son of Babul Shah of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 10:30 am when the Shibganj-bound truck hit the human hauler, leaving six passengers of the human hauler injured, said Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station.

Later, they were taken to sadar hospital where doctors declared two of them dead.
