Cholochitro Shilpi Shomiti Election: President Ilias Kanchan, General Secretary Zayed Khan

Popular actor Ilias Kanchan (191) became the president and Zayed Khan (176) became the general secretary for three consecutive time of Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Shomiti in the 17th biennial election. By beating Misha Sawdagor Ilias Kanchan is going to take charge of the Cholochitro Shilpi Shomiti after 30 years and the actress Nipun (183) lost to Zayed Khan.

Chief Election Commissioner Peerzada Shahidul Harun announced the results around 6am on Saturday (January 29).

Monwar Hossain Dipjol (219) and Rubel (191) have been re-elected as vice-presidents. Simon Sadiq (212) the co-general secretary, Organizing Secretary Shahnoor (184), International Affairs Secretary Joy Chowdhury (205), Paper and Publicity Secretary Arman (232), Culture and Sports Secretary Emon (203), Treasurer Azad Khan (193).

Anjana Sultana (225), Aruna Biswas (192), Amit Hasan (227), Aliraj (203), Keya (212), Chunnu (220), Jasmine (208), Ferdous (240), Mausumi (225), Rozina (185), Sucharita (201) have been elected as executive members of the two panels.

After the victory, Zayed Khan said, "No one have lost." It is a victory for all of us. We will work together for the welfare of the artist association. But I will miss Misha very much.

The election of Bangladesh Film Artists Association ended on Friday (January 28) in a festive atmosphere. Voting started at 9:16 am in BFDC and ended at 5:16 pm. Out of 428 voters in this election, 365 voters have appeared. They elect their representatives in 21 posts.
