Anti-drug operation in the capital, 47 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 47 people in anti-drug operations in different parts of the capital Dhaka. At that time, 515 pieces of yaba, 48 grams 295 puria (small packets) heroin, 16 kg 500 grams 30 puria (small packets) cannabis, 136 bottles of phensedyl and 1344 cans of beer were seized from them.

The operation was carried out in different areas of the capital from 6 am on Friday (January 28) to 6 am today (Saturday, January 29).

A total of 37 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
