The cold
wave is sweeping over four divisions and several districts of the country. The
meteorological office said that the cold wave may continue in those areas on
Sunday as well.
According
to meteorologist Abdul Hamid, the cold spell will continue only on Sunday. The
temperature will rise from Monday. There is no sign of rain this month.
However, it may rain in the first week of February.
Meanwhile,
the forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm said that the weather across the
country may be dry. There may be moderate to heavy fog in the north-western
part of the country from midnight to morning and light to moderate fog in other
parts of the country.
The mild
to moderate cold wave may continue over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and
Sylhet divisions including Gopalganj, Tangail, Kishoreganj, Feni, Jessore,
Kushtia, Chuadanga and Barisal districts.
At the
same time, the night temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country
and the day temperature may rise slightly. In the last 24 hours, the lowest
temperature in the country was 7 degrees Celsius in Tentulia and Rajarhat and
the highest was 23.7 degrees Celsius in Kutubdia.
