The trade fair is coming to an end today

The trade fair is coming to an end today (January 31). The 26th edition of the fair was held in a permanent pavilion just 13 km away from Kuril in the capital. Other times the traders talked about extending the deadline towards the end but this time there is no such opportunity as there is no corona.

Iftekhar Ahmed, director of the trade fair and secretary of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), said the organizers and traders were happy with the new location of the trade fair. Other times the traders talked about extending the fair deadline but this time they did not apply as the rate of corona infection increased.

He said the trade fair is coming to an end on time. We also don’t want the fair time to increase. The fair is ending successfully.

Due to the Corona situation, the number of visitors to the fair was low and the target of selling tickets was not met. This was stated by Abid Hasan Hridoy, the responsible officer of Mir Brothers, the lessee of the fair. He said the money spent on the lease did not come up.

There were a total of 225 local and foreign stalls and pavilions at the trade fair held from January 1 at Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal. There were 6 foreign stalls and 4 mini pavilions.
