Anti-drug operation in the capital, 44 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Crime and Intelligence Division has arrested 44 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. They were arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

As part of the regular anti-drug drive by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, they raided various areas in the capital from 8am on Friday (February 4) to 6am today (Saturday, February 5) and recovered drugs.

This information has been informed in a report of DMP News.

During the arrest, 7,649 pieces of yaba, 268 grams of heroin, 1 kg 730 grams 150 small packets of pure cannabis and 6 bottles of phensedyl were seized from their custody. 31 cases have been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act.
