Tetulia records the lowest temperature

The lowest temperature of the country has been recorded on Monday at 7.7 degrees Celsius at Panchagarh's Tentulia, exposing the poor, elderly people and children to intense miseries there.

The Met Office sources said that the lowest temperature in Dinajpur has been recorded at 9 degrees Celsius at 6:00 am today.

Dinajpur Meteorological Office in-charge Tofazzal Hossain said the minimum temperature in Dinajpur was 9 degrees Celsius at 6:00 am while the humidity was 97 percent. The wind speed was 4-5 kmph.

Besides, the minimum temperatures recorded today were 10 degrees Celsius at Rangpur, 9.6 degrees at Naogaon, 9.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and 8.4 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat monitoring points in the region.

Meanwhile, at present, a mild cold wave is sweeping over some parts of the country including the Rangpur division. However, the temperature may rise slightly across the country in the next two days.
