Train to run at full capacity from tomorrow

The Bangladesh Railway Authority on Monday informed that the train will be running at full capacity across the country from Wednesday (February 9) in compliance with the health rules. 

Sardar Shahadat Ali, Additional Director General (Operations) of Bangladesh Railway, confirmed the information to media on Monday.

He said the train would run with strict observance of hygiene rules. Strict measures will be taken to maintain social distance in trains and railway stations. Passengers will follow all hygiene rules including wearing musk. Advance tickets for half of the seats have already been sold out, the rest will now be available over the counter and online. 

Earlier on January 15, the Bangladesh Railway Authority directed trains to operate at half capacity across the country as the coronavirus infections rise again.
