Vaccine certificate must to enter food shop in the book fair

Amar Ekushey Book Fair is starting from tomorrow Tuesday (February 15). This time, everyone must have a vaccination certificate to enter the fair food store.

This information was given by the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Abul Mansur in a press conference at Bangla Academy on Monday (February 14).

Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Abul Mansur Ahmed said, "We are able to organize the fair this time with the determination of the Prime Minister." We will abide by the government's health protocol at the fair.

Risk of Covid infection are higher in restaurants, he said. So everyone must have a vaccination certificate to enter the fair food store. We have informed the food organizers that no one can walk in their yard without vaccination certificate.

"We will have a mobile court at the fair all the time," the secretary said. So that after entering the fair wearing a mask no one can roam around the fair removing it. We told the Publishers and Vendors Association that every store would have a 'No Mask No Sale' banner.

Regarding the duration of the book fair, he said, the book fair used to start from 3 pm every year. But this year, since we have less time, a 15-day fair, we will start the fair from 2 pm. On holidays the fair will start at 11 pm as usual.

This time the fair will be held in an area of seven and a half lakh square feet. There will be a separate stage for children. Children will be able to play sports there following the rules of hygiene. The stage has been set for unveiling the book. This time the theme of the book fair is "We want a Covid-free Bangladesh."
