Anti-drug operation in the capital, 54 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 54 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital Dhaka. The operation was carried out in different police station areas of the capital from 6 am on Sunday (February 13) to 6 am on Monday (February 14).

During the arrest, 273 grams 102 puria heroin, 11790 pieces yaba, 1 kg 976 grams 40 puria cannabis, 0.90-gram ice and 100 bottles of phensedyl were seized from them.

A total of 43 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
