Anti-drug operation in the capital, 64 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 64 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital Dhaka. The operation was carried out in different police station areas of the capital from 6 am on Monday (February 15) to 6 am on Tuesday (February 15).

During the arrest, 233 grams of 85 puria heroin, 8,106 pieces of yaba, 24 kg 185 grams, 540 puria cannabis, 5 narcotic injections and 45 phensedyl were seized from them.

The police have registered 49 cases against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
