New director general of BGB, Major General Shakil Ahmed

Major General Shakil Ahmed has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). With this appointment, he was assigned to the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday night (February 17).

On the other hand, Major General Safinul Islam, who has been the Director General of the BGB, has been assigned to the Armed Forces to return him to the Army. Major General Safinul Islam is going on leave (PRL) on March 2.

It may be mentioned that Major General Shakil Ahmed also served as the Director General (DG) of the Passport and Immigration Department.
