Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan expelled from the BNP

Former BNP MP Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan has been expelled from the party for alleged to be involved in anti-party activities.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the matter on Sunday (February 20).

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that Major (Retd.) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan has been expelled from all the posts including membership in accordance with Article 5(GA) of the BNP constitution due to his involvement in violating party discipline.

Former Kishoreganj district BNP president Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman was the BNP candidate for Kishoreganj-2 (Katiadi-Pakundia) constituency in the last election. He lost the election to Awami League candidate and former IGP Nur Mohammad.
