We will make the next elections with honesty and sincerity: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, "I will fulfill my responsibility by conducting the forthcoming elections with sincerity, honesty and devotion."

He made the remarks at a press conference at the media center of the Election Building in Agargaon on Monday (February 28).

CEC Kazi Habibul Awal said, “Our power is not infinite. We will fulfill our responsibilities according to the instructions given the constitution. But the political parties will have to cooperate with us in conducting fair elections. We will do our best to ensure the right of voters to vote. We want no party to leave the polls. Because if any party leaves the polling station, the election will not be fair.

"Today we have got acquainted with everyone in the Election Commission," he added. Although we are all new and we are not so experienced with the Election Commission. But we have knowledge about the Election Commission. For this we will sit with all the members of the commission and make an action plan. We will try to work in our term according to the election rules and work plan.
