60-70% people in the country are still in 2G: Planning Minister

Commenting that 60-70 percent of the people in the country are still in 2G, Planning Minister MA Mannan said that, "We are working on 5G". Project approval has already been given in this regard and work is underway. But we have to admit that many are still in 2G. And the reality is that 2G is used by more people. There are many who can't write, can't read, they don't want more than 2G.

He made the remarks at a function of the Child Parliament at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 1).

The planning minister said, there are people in our society whose average income is five thousand Tk. Again, there are many whose average income is five crore Tk. Similarly, many are using 2G and many are using 5G. But we will not leave anyone behind, we will move forward with everyone. Our Prime Minister's motto is to build a golden Bengal with everyone.

In the context of Facebook, he said, there are many terrible aspects in social media. You have to be careful use it. We have no choice but to warn. The United States is also working to bring Facebook under control.

Regarding child marriage, the minister said, child marriage is a common problem in many countries of the world. However, many countries have reduced it. Child marriage is still going on secretly in our cities and villages. We have to protest against it.

The planning minister further said that the use of language should be in Bengali. Why should English be the predominant language? How many Bengalis do speak Japan, Russia or China? Even without speaking English, China and Russia are conquering everything in the world, including the mountains and the sea. Bangla language and Joy Bangla is our culture. We have to say Joy Bangla and Joy Bangabandhu.
