Due to the light pressure created in the South Andaman Sea,
the temperature in the country rose to 34 degrees Celsius. There is a hint of
further growth.
According to the meteorological office, a light pressure has
formed in the southeastern Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea and the extended
part of the western light pressure is located in the foothills of the Himalayas
in West Bengal and adjoining areas.
According to meteorologist Hafizur Rahman, the weather in
the country will remain mainly dry till Wednesday (March 2) evening with
temporary partly cloudy sky. Light fog will also fall in the river basins in
the morning.
Besides, day and night temperatures across the country will
remain almost unchanged. Teknaf recorded the highest temperature in the country
on Tuesday (March 1) at 34.2 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature since
the winter. The lowest temperature recorded in Tetulia was 12.5 degrees
Celsius. The highest and lowest temperatures recorded in Dhaka were 31.1 Celsius
and 19.6 Celsius respectively.
