Mushfiqur dropped out of the first match

Mushfiqur Rahim, an experienced batsman and former captain of the Bangladesh team, has been ruled out of the first match of the two-match T20 series against Afghanistan due to an injury to his right hand finger.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the matter in a press release on Thursday (March 3).

BCB physio Bayazedul Islam said, "We did an X-ray after the ball hit Mushfiqur's right thumb yesterday. The X-ray report came normal. But there is a little swelling. That's why we kept him under observation. We will make a complete decision about him after the practice tomorrow."

There is a possibility that Mushfiqur Rahim might drop off from the second T20 also of the two match series.
