Anti-drug operation in the capital, 47 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 47 people in anti-drug operations in different parts of the capital Dhaka.

Three 3,816 pieces of yaba, 37 grams 45 puria (small packet) heroin, 45 kg 466 grams of cannabis and 90 bottles of phensedyl were seized from them.

The operation was carried out in different police station areas of the capital from 6 am on Friday (March 4) to 6 am today (Saturday, March 5).

A total of 31 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
