Deadline for medical admissions has been extended

The application deadline for admission tests in public and private medical colleges of the country has been extended. The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) has decided to extend the application period for admission to the 2021-22 academic year. Students are going to get the opportunity to apply for admission online till March 15.  

According to the Medical Admission Test Organizing Committee, the authorities initially thought of extending the application deadline. However, considering the number of students who have applied for re-scrutinize of HSC results, it has been decided to extend the application period. 

Confirming the matter, DGME director (Medical Education) Dr. AKM Ahsan Habib said it has been decided to extend the application period by “five days”. The admission seekers will be able to apply online till March 15. The money can be deposited until March 18 at 11:59 pm.

Earlier, the notification of medical admission for the 2021-22 academic year was published on February 24. According to the published notification, the application deadline was supposed to end on March 10, however, it is being extended to March 15. 

The admit cards for the admission test can be downloaded from March 26 to 29. The admission tests will be held simultaneously across the country from 10 am to 11 am on April 1.
