Private sector should be given chance in development of tourism: Planning Minister

Planning Minister MA Mannan said the government would provide all possible facilities for tourism development. The private sector has to come forward in these sectors. However, there should be no obstacle for them to work. We have to give them a chance to work smoothly. Bangladesh is a country of great beauty. I think many people will come to visit the country if we have adequate security measures in our tourist spots and if we can clean them.

He said this while addressing a program on Tourism Master Plan at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Wednesday (March 9). State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali was present on the occasion.

Addressing the State Minister for Aviation, the Planning Minister said it was good to see the potential of the country's tourist spots in the presentation. We should take this industry forward by implementing their recommendations.

At the time, State Minister Md Mahbub Ali said, Bangladesh is a country with potential for tourism. Every winter the guest birds come to our country. They come to Bangladesh for the fascinating nature of this country.

Talking about the development of the tourism system of the country, he said that work is going on with the master plan for the development of tourism. We are expanding the runway in Cox's Bazar. Work is also underway to develop all the airports.
