Share market trading on rise

On Wednesday (March 9), the fourth working day of the week, the country's main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the other stock market Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) index trading is going through a big rise. 

This information has been known from DSE and CSE sources. Shares of 328 companies rose in one hour.

At 11 a.m., one hour after the start of trading on Wednesday, the DSE general index DSEX rose 80 points to 6,554 points. The DSE Shariah Index rose 18 points and the DSE-30 Index rose 27 points to 1416 and 2400 points respectively. Shares and mutual fund units worth Tk 197.58 crore were traded during the period.

Of the companies traded on Wednesday, 328 rose, 16 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

The top 10 companies traded on Wednesday were BSc, Beximco Limited, Dragon Sweater, Fortune Sue, Orion Pharma, Lafarge Holcim, BD Thai, Sonali Paper, Agni Systems and BDcom.

Earlier, the DSEX index rose 80 points in the first 10 minutes of trading on Wednesday. At 10:20 a.m., the index rose 12 points from its previous position. Then the movement of the indicator can be seen upwards. At 10:30 am, the index rose 114 points to 6,588 points.

On the other hand, one hour after the start of trading at 11 am, the CASPI index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose 181 points to 19,199 points. Then the movement of the indicator was seen upwards.

Shares and mutual fund units worth Tk 4.8 crore were traded on the CSE till 11 am today. During this time, the prices of 117 companies increased and the prices of 13 companies decreased. Share prices of 3 companies remained unchanged.
