Tk 40,000 crore has been spent on vaccination: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said the government has spent Tk 40,000 crore to vaccinate the people of the country against coronavirus. We bought enough vaccines in the beginning and we have also received many vaccines as gifts. Our cost of purchasing, storing and arranging vaccines is Tk 40,000 crore.

He made the remarks at a function organized by the National Kidney Institute and Hospital on the occasion of World Kidney Day at noon on Thursday (March 10).

He said, "Through vaccination activities, we have been able to deal with the coronavirus. Bangladesh has become a global role model in the prevention of corona virus. We have worked under the guideline of the Prime Minister."
