Garment workers will be able to buy products at 40 spots every day from 5 pm to 8 pm.

This information was given by the President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Faruk Hasan at a function in the capital on Tuesday.

BGMEA President Faruk Hasan said, 'During the last two to three years, we have increased the wages of the workers.' I have increased their salaries a lot in the time of rising commodity prices. According to the rules, the increment should be 5 percent per annum. But we have increased the wages of workers from 10 to 40 percent.

He further said TCB products would be provided to garment workers so that they could buy daily necessities at lower prices.

In the first phase, TCB will sell products outside the capital at a subsidized price from March 20. These products will be sold there through family cards. Cardholders will get five product packages together at affordable prices through Family Card. Under this program, the list of one crore families across the country has been finalized.
