Anti-Drug operation in the capital, 48 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 48 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital Dhaka.

The operation was carried out in different police station areas of the capital from 6 am on Tuesday (March 22) to 6 am today (Wednesday, March 23).

During the seizure, 3 thousand 190 pieces of yaba, 62 grams 110 puria (small packet) of pure heroin, 41 kg 30 grams of cannabis, 40 injectable drugs and 183 bottles of phensedyl were seized from them.

A total of 37 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
