It feels very bad to see the condition of Dhaka city: Bridges Minister

Regarding the unplanned development of the capital Dhaka, Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said, "It is very sad and embarrassing to see the condition of this city."

He was speaking at a function at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Tuesday (March 29) to take part in a feedback session on the final report on the draft subway construction feasibility study project in Dhaka.

The bridge minister said Bangladesh is today in the list of 11 economically advanced countries in the world. It is not compatible with Bangladesh, not at all. I have tried to make the bus service better but there is no improvement. There is no fitness. This image needs to be changed. That poor look of cars in this city. It doesn't match the height to which Sheikh Hasina has taken the development of Bangladesh.

Obaidul Quader said Dhaka is 137th among 140 uninhabitable cities in the world. I think the mayors know this and have to plan with that in mind.
