Anti-drug operation in the capital, 44 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 44 people in connection with drugs in different areas of the capital.

A large quantity of drugs including ice was seized from them at that time. 30 cases have been registered against those detained.

This information was confirmed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Sunday morning.

According to the DMP, as part of the DMP's regular anti-drug drive, they were arrested in different areas of the capital from 6 am on Saturday to the same time today.

At the time, 19,724 pieces of yaba, 60 grams, 51 puria heroin, 75 kg, 420 grams of cannabis, 423 bottles of Phensidyl and 25 bottles of domestic liquor were seized from them.

He also said that 30 cases have been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act at the concerned police station.
