If water resources are wasted, there will be no resources at all: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that water wastage must be prevented. We have to take care of the water resources that we have and keep them useful for future generations. If water resources are wasted, there will be no resources.

She said this while participating in a program organized by the Ministry of Water Resources on the occasion of World Water Day-2022 on Monday (April 4).

The Prime Minister advised everyone to be aware of the need to prevent wastage of water and water care.

The Prime Minister said arrangements should be made for rain water to go underground. You don't have to cover all the places with cement. The use of surface water should be increased more than ground water. Rainwater harvesting should be done in the surrounding reservoirs.

Among others present on the occasion were State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq, Deputy Minister AKM Enamul Haque Shamim and Secretary Kabir Bin Anwar.
