BNP has taken a stand against the people: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP has now taken a stand against the people after being rejected by the people. He said the people no longer want the BNP for its negative and destructive politics and after realizing that they have taken a stand against the people. The situation of BNP is now as lost as that of a lost traveler.

Obaidul Quader said this while briefing his office at the Secretariat on Sunday (April 10).

Obaidul Quader said people are happy with the development and achievement of Sheikh Hasina government so they will choose Awami League in next national election too. So the BNP is now conspiring and lying to question the election process.

Obaidul Quader has said that such statement of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is ridiculous as the Awami League wants to cross the hurdle of the next national election again by playing the election game. He said the people of the country know that Awami League is doing politics for the people. Awami League does politics for the betterment of the people. Not to make their own pockets heavier.

Stating that Bangladesh is known as a dignified state in the world today due to the able leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Quader said, "We have 100% confidence in the people, so there is no need to play with elections." According to the constitution, the next election will be held on time and it will be under a neutral election commission.

Addressing the BNP leaders, the Awami League general secretary said, "Have faith in the democratic process and the people and come to the polls." The people own the power and whoever they choose will come to power.
