'Those who do not celebrate Mujibnagar Day, are disguised casteists'

Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that those who do not observe the day like Mujibnagar or 6 points are not really freedom fighters but disguised casteists.

He made the remarks while paying homage to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi on Sunday (April 17) on the historic Mujibnagar Day.

Obaidul Quader said, there is nothing to debate on the settled issues of history after so long. He also said that he would take an oath to consolidate the victory by strengthening the non-communal spirit.

Awami League presidium member Matia Chowdhury, Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak, Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Mirza Azam, Cultural Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Central Executive Member Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim and other central leaders were also present at that time.
