Anti-drug operation in the capital, 41 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 41 people in an anti-drug operation in different parts of the capital.

Police have said that they were arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

On Monday (April 18, 2022) from 6 am to 6 am today, raids were carried out in different police station areas of the capital.

During the arrest, 3560 pieces of yaba, 26 kg 200 gm of cannabis, 2 gm of 10 puria heroin and 255 bottles of phensedyl were recovered from their custody.

31 cases have been filed against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act at the concerned police station.
