An evil cycle is planning to create communal incidents: Education Minister

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni MP has said that a section of the country is trying to create communal incidents in a planned manner. She said that these attempts will not succeed in any way.

She made the remarks in response to a question from reporters before attending a function organized by the district administration at Chandpur Circuit House at noon on Tuesday (April 19).

The education minister said, "We are vigilant." The people of our country believe in non-communal consciousness. People have respect for teachers. Teachers are requested to be vigilant too. If any educational institutions are involved in these type of incidents, appropriate action will also be taken against those as well.

The minister said, "I have seen a number of incidents in different parts of the country in recent times which show that while various attempts to create instability in a country are failing, they are causing incidents in some educational institutions, to give them a kind of communal look again."

Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, Naval Superintendent of Police Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Chandpur Municipal Mayor Zillur Rahman Jewel and senior officials of various government departments were present on the occasion.
