Anti-Drug drive in the capital, 43 arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 43 people in an anti-drug operation in the capital. Police said they were arrested for selling and consuming drugs.

They were detained during raids in different police stations in the capital from 6 am on Wednesday (May 11) to 6 am on Thursday (May 12).

The information has been confirmed by the media branch of DMP.

During the raid, 10,692 pieces of yaba, 47 kg 753 gm 40 puria (small packet) of pure cannabis, 51.5 gm of heroin and 9 injectable drugs were seized from them.

31 cases have been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act at DMP police station.
