2 Arrested for fraud by defaming Bangabandhu’s family

The Elite Force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two persons on charges of embezzling crores of money from contractors by showing the temptation of various government development and construction projects by defaming the family members of the father of the nation. It is also learned that they have embezzled money by defaming the names of various important people of the state.

A team of RAB arrested them from Paltan area of the capital on Tuesday (May 17) night. The arrested are: Mansoor Ahmed, the head of the fraud ring and one of his associates.

The matter has been confirmed by ANM Imran Khan, Assistant Director, Legal and Media Wing, RAB Headquarters.
