Bangabandhu has worked all his life to save the Bengali nation: SM Rezaul Karim

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim has said that Bangladesh would not have existed if Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was not born. We still would have lived in the colony of Pakistan. Bangabandhu has devoted his whole life to save the Bengali nation from this disrespect. He was behind bars for almost fourteen years. On the other hand, Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib was the inspiration for all the deeds of Bangabandhu. Bangabandhu's strength was the people of Bangladesh and his inspiration was Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament Boys (Under-17) at Pirojpur District Stadium here on Saturday (May 21) morning. Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Administration organized the event.

At the time, the minister further said, sports is power. There is no alternative to sports to build a healthy and strong nation. There is no substitute for sports to keep the nation away from drugs and subcultures. The more the sports sector can be developed, the more we will develop. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the head of the sports friendly government. She has immense passion and love for sports. During her time, under the patronage of the state, the boys and girls of Bangladesh have brought fame in the field of sports. This patronage will continue in the future.
