Before the corona outbreak is over, the highly contagious monkeypox is spreading in different countries of the world. So far, the contagious disease has spread to 12 countries around the world. In Bangladesh, the Department of Health has issued additional warnings at every port (land, sea and air) to prevent the spread of the virus.

Health Department spokesman and director of the disease control branch Prof Dr Nazmul Islam confirmed the matter to reporters on Saturday night (May 21).

Dr. Nazmul Islam said, "We are issuing warnings at airports, land ports and other ports." I also told the medical officers at the airport to be careful. If a suspect arrives, he should be identified and rushed to the hospital.

Advising people not to panic about the virus, he said there is no chance of panicking about the virus. We are monitoring the overall situation of the virus. We will know about this disease from all over the world, we will take information and data. We will take actions accordingly.

We have given letters at district level. But since there are no ports there, it is not yet important. Since it can come through the airport, we are most careful there.

Monkey Pox was first identified on May 7 in the United Kingdom. The disease has also been reported in Italy, Sweden, Spain, France and Portugal in Europe. Also in the United States, Canada, Belgium, and Australia.
