BNP protest in front of the press club

The party is holding a protest rally against the threat of assassination of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia by the Prime Minister. They are closing the road in front of the National Press Club on Monday (May 23). Meanwhile, the police are on alert regarding the program.

The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is present as the chief guest at the protest rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North-South BNP, presided over by the convener of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP Abdus Salam.

Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates from different wards of Dhaka started gathering in front of the Press Club from morning to take part in the protest rally. On the other hand, the presence of white-clad law enforcers along with extra police has been noticed in the BNP's protest rally.

Meanwhile, the road in front of the Press Club was closed causing severe traffic jam on the surrounding roads.
