PM to inaugurate Padma Bridge on June 25

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Padma Bridge on June 25 at 10 am, said Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader.

The minister told reporters at Ganobhaban Gate after meeting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday (May 24) about the inauguration and naming of the Padma Bridge.

Regarding the naming of the much-desired bridge the bridge minister Obaidul Quader said, "The prime minister has said that the Padma bridge will not be named after anyone. It will be in the name of the river."

Earlier, Obaidul Quader met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban to discuss the inauguration and naming of the Padma Bridge.
