Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that public and private
initiative is essential to achieve the goals in the field of education.
She made the remarks at a panel discussion at the World
Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday (May 24th). The Minister of
Education spoke as one of the four speakers at a meeting organized by the World
Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Taking part in the discussion, Dr. Dipu Moni said that
change is taking place in the education system under the leadership of
Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina. Work has started to create human resources
suitable for keeping pace with the advancement of technology.
At this time, the Minister of Education highlighted the
principles of equality, equity and inclusion which are being followed.
The Minister also spoke on turning the country's large
population into human resources, creating new jobs through public-private
partnership initiatives, creating jobs for the new generation of people and the
welfare of the world, and freeing women to enter the world of work.
The meeting discussed Bangladesh's participation in the Closing
the Education Gap Accelerator with the National Blended Education Master Plan
(2022-2031) prepared by the Government of Bangladesh and the World Economic
Forum. In this session, he stressed on the importance of public and private
initiatives to achieve the goals in the field of education.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni also took part in the panel
discussion titled 'Where Will the Jobs of Tomorrow Come From' at the ongoing
World Economic Forum in Davos.
